VOLUNTEER
The Bowery Arts Project meets Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 9:15 - 11:15 at Project Renewal, 8 East 3rd Street, in New York City. Volunteers have no formal art therapy training although many of the volunteers have a connection to the arts. Artistic training or skill is by no means a requirement - a desire to get involved, to be open to a new experience and to share your time with others is what counts.
We do not require any particular time commitment. We want this to be a program that works for everybody, that is flexible and as supportive of our volunteers as it is of the clients.
